The Shakespeare by the Sea production, at the Seabreeze Amphitheater in Carlin Park, is among Things To Do in Jupiter.

FULL MOON OVER THE JUPITER INLET

Grab a spot along the coastline, at a park or in your own backyard on July 23 and watch the monthly spectacle, a highlight among the fun Things To Do in Jupiter.

The full moonrise is expected at about 10:30 p.m.

Here’s an added bonus: Once the full Moon rises, look down and to the left, due east. You’ll see the bright planet Jupiter.

By the way, the July Full Moon is also known as the Full Hay Moon. For farmers, July is the time to cut and cure hay to put away for winter feed.

DID YOU KNOW:

The moon’s gravitational pull isn’t the only influence on Earth’s tides. The sun’s gravitational pull also plays a role.

KEEP LOOKING UP!

The first week in August is expected to be the peak of the Perseids meteor shower, one of the night Things To Do in Jupiter.

The good news is there will be a waxing crescent Moon that week setting early in the evening.

That should leave the skies nice and dark.

Astronomy experts expect an estimated 100 “shooting stars” per hour.
