Take the family out for a Halloween things to do in Jupiter adventure in a canoe or kayak of the meandering river in Riverbend Park.

Rather pedal than paddle for a things to do in Jupiter adventure? JOC also rents bikes — tandems, wide tires, bikes with baskets, kids bikes — we got ’em all.

For those who like stand up paddle boards, JOC rents those on Jupiter Inlet waterways.

The Loxahatchee flows through several different freshwater and saltwater habitats, each supporting a wide variety of wildlife.  Along the banks, it’s common to see alligators, turtles, river otters, deer, raccoon, turkey, bald eagles, owls, heron, ibis, egrets, gopher tortoise, osprey, storks, scrub jay and many other species.  Some of the more common types of fish include bass, panfish, mullet, snook, tarpon, redfish and jacks.

There is no better way to enjoy a view of what Jupiter has to offer than to rent a kayak and venture into these pristine environments on your own adventure!  Whether exploring down river or in the lakes inside Riverbend Park, the Jupiter Outdoor Center can get you into the watercraft of your choice and give you the proper safety gear and guidance to assure you have a great time on the water. The Wild & Scenic Loxahatchee River things to do in Jupiter Tour starts out narrow and twisty as it meanders its along its way downstream from Riverbend Park toward the Atlantic Ocean. The round-trip tour lasts approximately 2 hours, depending on water and weather conditions. You’ll pass through an incredible cypress swamp, and see many species of plants and animals. The tour will often be under the shade of a beautiful Cypress canopy. Your guide is there to assist when portage is necessary. Please review conditions and specific tour details with staff.

Halloween Skate & Scooter Contest

Costumes are encouraged at the roller skating contest at Jupiter Skate Park, 1501 Frederick Small Rd. on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Registration will be onsite, just prior to event. The scooter contest  begins at 4:00 p.m., the skate contest begins at 6:00 pm.

Prizes will be awarded to top three places in each age division.

Halloween for Adults at Wyndham Grand at Harbourside Place

Spooky themed food and cocktails are part of the festivities that begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Admission to this things to do in Jupiter event is free.

Wear a costume and your first drink is on the house. Live music is planned at this things to do in Jupiter event.

The party ends at midnight at the Wyndham Grand.


Yoga in Riverbend Park

Join certified yoga instructor Shellie Chiet as she takes you on a spiritual journey of the mind, body, and spirit with a slow flow beginner’s hourlong session on Sunday, Oct. 31 starting at 10 a.m.

Elements of nature are infused with the beautiful surroundings of Riverbend Park, at Jupiter Outdoor Center’s large/south launch. Be sure to bring a yoga mat, blanket, and water.

Trunk or Treat

Join the growing Halloween trend at Unity of Jupiter, 550 Bush Rd. for two hours starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30.

In Trunk or Treating, adults decorate the back of their cars for Halloween, load up on candy, and sit in a parking lot while kids make the rounds in their costumes from car-to-car.


Pre-Halloween Fun

Burn off some of that before-trick-or-treating energy by taking the family for some miniature golf at Lighthouse Cove Adventure Golf.

There are two Lighthouse Cove mini-golf courses in Jupiter.
