KEVIN’S HOT DOGS

The hot dogs and sausages right off Kevin Stanchuk’s grill are fantastic.

So are the stories the 74-year-old New Yorker tells about his days running a deli and hot dog stand near Central Park.

Jacqueline Onassis and her daughter Caroline stopped by. So did TV weatherman Al Roker.

Ask him about how he kabitzed with actor Paul Newman about racing cars.

Hot dogs are $4. Sausages are $7. Stanchuk, now a Palm Beach Gardens resident, is out there most days between 10 a.m. – about 2:30 p.m.

Look for the yellow and blue umbrella stand at Front Road and Jupiter Farms Road, across from Taylor Farms Cafe.

“I love Jupiter Farms. Where else can you sell a hot dog to a customer on horseback?,” Stanchuk said.

MAGIC BOWLS

Kayakers, bicycle riders, yoga lovers and hikers at Riverbend Park line up weekends at the silver truck amid towering palm trees.

Our favorite is an acai bowl loaded with pulped acai berries and other fruit. The smoothies are great refreshers.

Acai – pronounced ah-sah-EE – is a purplish berry, loaded with antioxidants, that grows on palm trees in Brazil.

“We love being outside. We love healthy food. Everybody’s happy,” says Amanda Oswalt, who runs the truck with Isaac Hernandez and their son Emilio.

Ask Amanda or Isaac about toppings such as granola, seeds, nuts and peanut butter. Their bowls are handcrafted on the spot.

Fresh  juices and coffee are on The Magic Bowls menu, too.

The Magic Bowls is open for events and catering. Hours in Riverbend Park are Friday – Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Contact Amanda or Isaac us for your next party or event. They travel anywhere between Palm Beach and Sebastian Beach, Florida.
While you’re at Riverbend Park, try a paddling or bicycling adventure down the Wild and Scenic Loxahatchee River at JUPITER OUTDOOR CENTER!
