As students continue their search for an internship throughout the semester we are looking to continue our history of taking in student interns. With our busy season coming up this winter and spring, along with a packed summer schedule full of camps, tours, and lessons, the Jupiter Outdoor Center is looking for qualified internship candidates pursuing a degree in Recreation, Early Childhood Education, Education, and/or Marketing for the Spring 2019 or Summer 2019 session. While working at both our locations student interns will get an opportunity to apply previous knowledge and learn new skills in their pursuit of becoming a future professional in the field of recreation and leisure services, and/or marketing for small businesses. Throughout the internship, candidates will acquire skills needed in both outdoor recreation activities along managerial practices that can be applied to any business. The relationship between students and the Jupiter Outdoor Centers provides an atmosphere where students and professionals can exchange ideas to further their education in outdoor recreation. This internship provides an undergraduate with a practical learning experience that gives them the opportunity to integrate theory with “real world” application of recreation and leisure service delivery. We look forward to sharing our love and stewardship of the outdoors with future recreation professionals while continuing to build a long-lasting relationship between students and the Jupiter Outdoor Centers.
