YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY
The JUPITER OUTDOOR CENTER team is trained in first aid and are CPR certified counselors.
Our camp staff will lead campers in fun and safe activities blended by the American Canoe Association, the leading paddle sports training organization in the country.
Curriculum is tailored to specific ages, so campers will be assigned to groups.
We have low camper to counselor ratios.
Our goal is to make your child’s summer camp in Jupiter the most fun and rewarding experience they will have this summer.
LEARN OUTDOOR SKILLS
How to breathe through a snorkel, the proper way to cast a fishing line, identifying plants and animals — these important nature life lessons are part of the JUPITER OUTDOOR CENTER learning experience.
We have created a local one-stop adventure and extraordinary nature experience for the youth in our community.
The miles and miles of graded trails in Riverbend Park are shaded with palm and oak trees along the Loxahatchee River.
Scattered throughout the trails in Riverbend Park are gazebos, outdoor rest stops along the trail.
Don’t worry about getting lost. Big maps are posted along the trail.
Bring water, bug spray and snacks.
And a hat to protect you from the sun.
If your child likes birds, camps in Jupiter is the place to be.
BIRDS! BIRDS! BIRDS!
Binoculars or not, birding is a fantastic way to enjoy the outdoors at Riverbend Park.
Herons, egrets and nesting anhingas are common along the Wild & Scenic Loxahatchee River. In winter, so are many waterfowl and shorebirds.
You might have to plug your ears if you bump into a couple sand hill cranes doing their mating dance. Peacocks, owls, turkeys, eagles, hawks, pelicans — they are all out there.
ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES
Each week, campers experience surf lessons, kayaking, hiking, biking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, plant identification, permaculture, gardening, survivalist skills, archery, marine biology, art, music, yoga, sports, environmental impact awareness, earth clean ups, herbalism 101, Florida Historical Society re-enactments, animal encounters, and so much more!
Wide and shady, the crushed-stone bicycle trails are easy for expert and novice peddlers.
Along the miles of trails, there are lots of covered huts to stop and relax, like this one near Cowpen Lake.
No hurrying allowed!
EASY DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP
DROP-OFF is between 8:15 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. The daily camps in Jupiter location varies by assigned group. Camp counselors will keep parents informed in advance of locations.
PICK-UP is daily by 5:30 p.m. at the same location as morning drop-off. Any pickups after 5:45 p.m. will be charged $1 per minute.
