At Jupiter Outdoor Center (JOC), we’re committed to creating a safe, meaningful, and memorable experience for every camper. These policies are designed to provide clarity and fairness for all families while helping us maintain a high-quality program.

✅ Quick Overview – What You Need to Know:

• All camp registrations are final and nonrefundable.
  
• If your camper becomes sick or injured, a credit may be available with timely notice and a doctor’s note.
  
• If JOC cancels due to weather or park closure, we’ll do our best to offer a makeup option or issue a credit.
  
• Missed camp days cannot be rescheduled, but we’ll help you make the most of your camp experience.

Camp Reservations Are Nonrefundable

We prepare for each camp session well in advance, including hiring staff, purchasing supplies, coordinating logistics, and organizing activities. This level of preparation happens regardless of registration totals, which is why all camp reservations are final and nonrefundable.

Your payment helps ensure we are fully staffed and equipped to deliver the best possible camp experience for everyone.

Weather and Park Closures

Florida weather can be unpredictable, and the safety of our campers and staff is always our top priority. Our team is prepared to adapt camp activities as needed based on weather conditions—most camp days will continue in a modified format, even in rain or heat.

In rare cases, when weather or park conditions create an unsafe environment, JOC may determine that canceling part or all of a camp day is necessary. This includes but is not limited to lightning, flooding, hurricanes, or mandated park closures. If an emergency weather situation arises during the camp day, families may be contacted for early pickup.

If JOC is required to cancel a full day of camp due to unsafe conditions, a camp credit will be issued for the missed day(s). Credits may be applied to:

• A future summer camp week (if your camper is not already registered)
• One-day or holiday camps during the school year
• Other special makeup opportunities offered by JOC

Important Notes: 

• Only JOC can make the decision to cancel a camp day due to weather or closures. If a family chooses not to attend based on their own weather concerns, no credit will be issued.
• Credits are issued only for full-day cancellations initiated by JOC.
• Credits will not be issued for any portion of a camp day missed ( i.e. anything less than a full day), including late arrivals, early pickups, or weather-related early dismissals.

In Case of Illness or Injury

We understand that health concerns can arise unexpectedly. If your camper is unable to attend due to illness or injury, a credit may be available under the following conditions:

• Missing an entire week: Please send written notice to [email protected] before the start of the registered camp week.
• Missing part of a week (i.e., injury/illness occurred after the start of the registered camp week or camp day): Please email us at [email protected] before the end of the missed camp day.
  

A signed statement from a licensed medical provider is required and must include the dates your camper is advised not to participate.

Credits are valid for a future camp date within one calendar year, subject to availability. While we are not able to offer refunds, we are happy to work with you to find a future camp option that fits your schedule.

Late Arrivals and Early Departures

While we’re unable to offer credit for late arrivals or early pickups, your camper is always welcome to join for any portion of the scheduled day for which they are registered. 

Camp concludes at 5:00pm. Any camper not picked up by 5:15pm will incur a $50 late fee. 

Behavior and Camp Culture

We strive to create a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for every camper. If a child’s behavior poses a safety risk or consistently disrupts the experience for others, the Camp Director may make the decision to end their participation. In such cases, no credit or refund will be issued. Exceptions may be made at the Camp Director’s discretion.
