Explore The Loxahatchee River with a Rental
The Loxahatchee River is a beautiful wild and scenic river. Along the river is a wide diversity of plant life including both tropical and temperate vegetation. Wildlife abounds around you as you paddle along. The narrow winding tea-colored waters are canopied along most of the river by majestic cypress trees offering paddlers a shady, unique and sometimes challenging experience.
The Loxahatchee flows through several different freshwater and saltwater habitats, each supporting a wide variety of wildlife. Along the banks, it’s common to see alligators, turtles, river otters, deer, raccoon, turkey, bald eagles, owls, heron, ibis, egrets, gopher tortoise, osprey, storks, scrub jay and many other species. Some of the more common types of fish include bass, panfish, mullet, snook, tarpon, redfish and jacks.

We recommend planning for at least a minimum of 2 hours for a river trip.
Its about 3-4 hours for a round trip to the 2nd dam area and back with time for a few stops.
Plan to take your time and not rush. Remember you will be paddling back against some current so give your self plenty of time.
